Digital Marketing for Indian Businesses in Dubai: What Works in 2025

The Dubai market is dramatically different from India โ€” and the digital marketing strategies that work in Bangalore don't always translate. Here's what's working in Dubai in 2025.

Dubai is home to one of the world's largest concentrations of Indian businesses โ€” and the digital opportunity for Indian-owned companies in the UAE is enormous. But the digital marketing landscape in Dubai operates very differently from India, and strategies that work brilliantly in Bangalore often fall flat in the UAE.

After working with Indian business owners in Dubai across retail, healthcare, food & beverage, real estate, and professional services, here's what we've learned about what actually works.

The Dubai search landscape

English-language Google search dominates in Dubai, but there's a critical multilingual dimension. Searches in Arabic, Hindi, Malayalam, and Tagalog all represent significant audience segments. For Indian businesses targeting the Indian diaspora specifically, Hindi and Malayalam content can create meaningful differentiation โ€” very few competitors are creating it.

Google Maps competition in Dubai is high but structured differently than in India. Review counts matter enormously โ€” businesses with 200+ reviews dominate local pack results. Most businesses have 30โ€“60. The gap is an opportunity.

Instagram vs LinkedIn in Dubai

The Dubai B2C market is highly Instagram-driven โ€” particularly for food, lifestyle, beauty, and retail. Instagram Ads targeting the Emirati/Indian/expat demographic segments in specific Dubai neighbourhoods can be extraordinarily precise and effective.

For B2B businesses, LinkedIn is significantly more important in Dubai than in India. The Dubai business community is highly LinkedIn-active, and organic thought leadership content from founders consistently generates quality B2B leads in the UAE market.

The trust factor in Dubai

Trust is the primary purchase decision factor in the Dubai market for services businesses. This means: professional photography matters more than in India (the UAE has higher visual standards for business presentation), Google reviews are heavily weighted by local consumers, and case studies/testimonials with named clients carry outsized value.

A website that looks like it was built in 2017 will lose business in Dubai. The standard for digital presentation is higher.

WhatsApp for Dubai businesses

WhatsApp is the dominant business communication platform in the UAE โ€” even more so than in India. Every Dubai business needs a WhatsApp Business account with a professional profile, catalogue, and ideally, an automated first-response system. The click-to-WhatsApp button should be prominent on every touchpoint.

Paid media in Dubai โ€” different economics

Google Ads CPCs in Dubai are significantly higher than in India. Dental, legal, real estate, and medical services regularly see CPCs of AED 8โ€“20 per click. This means careful campaign structure and high-converting landing pages are even more critical โ€” wasted clicks are expensive.

Meta Ads targeting in Dubai is highly refined and can reach very specific demographic, language, and interest segments. For Indian businesses targeting the Indian diaspora, Meta's targeting capabilities are particularly powerful.
